The Martha’s Vineyard Boat To The Basket Championships Unity Series is a groundbreaking, two-event youth basketball and community empowerment experience that brings together elite athletes, families, educators, community partners, and leaders for competition, culture, and life-changing opportunity.

Powered by The Play4Peace Initiative (P4P), in partnership with Glory 2 Glory Sports Agency and JBISOFTWARE, INC., MVBB blends high-level basketball, scholarships, NIL education, technology exposure, leadership development, and community-building — all under one mission-driven umbrella.

Our Purpose: Play4Peace’s Four Pillars

PLAY – Provide athletes with a premier stage to compete, grow, and showcase talent while building discipline and teamwork.

PEACE – Create a safe, inclusive experience that unites diverse communities and strengthens relationships on and off the court.

PROSPERITY – Deliver workshops that equip athletes with real-world tools including financial literacy, NIL education, entrepreneurship, technology, and career readiness.

PROGRESS – Empower youth to become leaders while addressing wellness and opioid awareness through education.

 
The Pathway: Two Connected Events

Event 1: MVBBI – Martha’s Vineyard Boat To The Basket Invitational
Date: August 2
Location: Harambee Park, Boston, MA
Format: High School Boys & Girls Invitational featuring elite programs and Play4Peace Unity Teams.
Outcome: Winning teams qualify for the MVBB Championships.

 

Event 2: MVBB Championships – Martha’s Vineyard
Dates: August 20–23
Location: Oak Bluffs, Martha’s Vineyard

High School Division: 8 teams total (4 Boys, 4 Girls)
Middle School Division: 8 teams (one-day tournament)

The MVBB Championships Unity Series will engage 160+ athletes, families, coaches, and youth programs across Boston, Cape Cod, and Martha’s Vineyard.

Long-term Vision: Expand the Unity Series into a multi-state national model that uses sports to build unity, education, and economic mobility for youth across America.
